The UI engine in Guineu is separated from the core engine (it's a multi-tier app <g>). To run the application with WebGUI it's only necessary to pick a different GUI manager that renders the form differently. The form itself doesn't have to be converted any different from a regular desktop application or mobile application. Those two are different UI engines, as well. The only conversion that finds place is a VFP tool that converts SCX forms to PRG forms behind the scenes, because Guineu operates on FXP files. This happens behind the scenes when you build the project with one of the Guineu options.

The biggest work had been done by the developers of Visual WebGUI. They implemented the technology to run regular WinForm applications as an ASP page. I only used what they had to offer.
