>>I just don't agree with your statement. I think it's just plain silly. It appears you are pandering to the geeks out there and this is just plain intellectually laziness. Can't you find something else to disagree with him on? Even though Obama has been extremely vague on his positions, McCain has not. I'm sure there are a multitude of policies you disagree with. I just think that it doesn't matter whether or not the new president is a blackberry addict; there are more important issues out there.

>After all the filthy rich candidates who seriously went through the motions and staged elaborate photo ops with hardhats and blue collars, there's finally one who's subtly pandering to the geeks, and sending a discrete "you aren't that important this time" to the rednecks. The subtlety is there only because a no-brainer would insult the target audience ;).

Doesn't quite go hand in hand with his campaign tv ad aimed directly at those blue collar workers :o) In those ads, he implies that they really are that important... He's running an excellent campaign - the best in many elections.

Look to more bad publicity (rumors unless they are substantiated) coming out though. None of them appear to be about Obama directly, but rather his family. His brother in law who lives in China (Chinese American) had a business exporting to the U.S. but his website was recently shutdown (supposedly to not fuel a 'stealing jobs from Americans argument'). He has an ex brother-in-law who resides in England and is supposedly writing a tell-all book about Obama. He has a half-brother who is an African-muslim extremist who believes all muslims should liberate themselves from European culture.

There's two interesting articles here (not about the paragraph above):

Frankly, I don't see it being an issue. He is not responsible for his family. I am a little concerned about his denying studying the Quran as a youth, but hey, it's an election. McCain has numerous faults as well. He's not a great speaker and he should never tell another joke. He lost a lot of his voters in Arizona on his immigration deal. Funny that he may lose half his voters if he chooses a pro-choice running mate while it would be a plus in my mind. Interesting that he's stated numerous times he would select Supreme Court judges in the likes of Scalia and Alito but might choose a pro-choice vp. Unless his VP becomes Pres though doesn't make much of a difference. My concerns are all about policy. I disagree with about 50% of McCain's policies and the same with Obama. As the election draws closer, I am further from a decision.
