If you have any tolerance for country rock at all you should check out Pure Prairie League. Along with Poco and a few others, they defined the sound. Add Buffalo Springfield and the founder, Gram Parsons, and you've got a pretty good 101 course in country rock.
I should shut up and go to sleep. Feeling really restless tonight for some reason. I fell asleep not long after Michael Phelps's 8th, wlept like a rock, and woke up two hours later like it was 8 in the morning. Shutting it down by darkness....
