Are you really surprised by this? I'm not. The only time I ever had to deal with that issue was once in an app that used the MS Calendar control. Though I would have thought with a full product the issues wouldn't still be occuring.

I've been lucky in that usually about the only times I've had to upgrade office apps was at the same time as I've gotten a new box, so everything was fresh installs.
