My roommate, Marshall Teague, had been one of Elvis's bodyguards, so he got detailed to the mansion, but I was just hanging around the house. I was never a big Elvis fan. It was the Beatles that I followed. I was driving, on my way to work, when I heard the news of John Lennon's death.
I was also driving to work when I heard that. Apparently I was not paying close attention to the radio because at first I thought it was Yoko who had been shot. Which I'm sure we can all agree would have been better ;-(
