I agree with you on that. I left the father out of the equation only because I was discussing policy and law. In the case of anything other than rape and incest, it should be a joint decision. I must say though, and this doesn't figure into the abortion laws, there are a HUGE number of irresponsble teenage fathers in North Carolina. Teen fathers who plan to be there for it all and take care of their child and then dissappear after a few months. Reality is a totally different thing. North Carolina has its own problem with sex education and the parenting situation here (well every where) is lacking. Started about 20 years ago I think. I am amazed at the number of teenage boys who have at least one child and are not with the mother or do not spend time with their child let alone give financial support. How can a teen father support a child?
