Not true at all. Look at the number of people who actually send money to televangelists. Look at the number of people who watch some of the most moronic television ever created (deal or no deal, divorce court, fear factor, all those other 'reality' shows that have nothing whatever to do with reality). If people really did ignore idiots, most network television would simply cease to exist. ;)
