Ok, and after we come up with a plan, the rest of the world has to abide by it.

>>There is never a reason for abortion, unless the mother's life is threatened. A baby produced by rape, could be given up for adoption.

>John - if you're game, let's explore and see how much common ground we can find. Already, we agree that abortion should be permitted if the mother's life is endangered by the pregnancy.
>
>Here are a few more scenarios. I'm aware that all of these are rare. What I'm trying to do is establish where we agree and where we disagree.

>1) What if the child has no chance at a normal life, or even surviving much past birth? Here, I'm thinking of really severe impairments, like ancephaly.

I'm told he father of the unborn Mozart was crippled, his mother was deaf and blind, and they already had 13 kids, when they learned he would have some "issues". Would you have killed Mozart, because he wasn't going to be a "normal, healthy" baby?

I think God is the one who gets to decide. It's a slippery slope. What about the people, in Africa who have been starved to the point they are almost dead. You've seen the pictures, distended bellies, with no food in them. Why not just kill them and get it over with, they have less life expectancy than the kids who may live to be 5.

>3) What if the mother will survive pregnancy, but only at great damage to her health. For example, a mother with a disease that needs to be treated, but can't be treated while she's pregnant.
>
In that specific case, I'd say save the mother.

>4) What if carrying the pregnancy to term means the mother will lose the ability to bear future children?
>

A baby in the womb is worth two in the future.

>You mentioned rape, so let's go down that path:
>
>5) What if the mother is a child impregnated by her father, so you have not only the issue of rape and child abuse, but increased genetic risks?
>

Have the kid and put it up for adoption, execute the father.

>6) What if the mother is child, 10 or 11 or 12?

Until fairly recently, it was very common for women/girls to wed at an early age, even 12. So, once again, have the child, put it up for adoption, and seek out the dirtbag that got the girl pregnant. Once captured, torture until done.
