This is way beyong the point of the original thread, please reread it.

But in response, fair to say, in my experience, mid-size businesses 5 to 50+ employees, don't generally go "freeware." Perhaps in your your market, not in mine.

I have not been in your shoes, so perhpas you have a valid point. But the original post was not about SQL Express replacing VFP, please, it was about Microsoft running both ends of the market.
