Being as I am, I can't watch this narrowly, just VFP and just MS - I don't think they invented the trick for this time only and then burned all copies of the recipe, nor that MS is the only one doing such a thing ever. This is actually no better than the customers I had when I was a dirty little capitalist, when my partner and our chief hardware & network guru would sit two days and put together an offer for a prospective customer... only to find out that they've used the offer as a shopping list and waved our prices around, trying to get someone to go 20% below that. That's getting someone to do your development and research, and for free at that.

I'd list "unfair business practices" under theft. Theft, by any other name, will stink the same...
