I had another look in the object browser, and explored the Interfaces tree, which I now remember doing previously, but didn't know, and still don't know, how these can be used. There are indeed the same number of Internfaces as Classes (actually one extra one), with almost identical names - except they all have a letter "I" as the first character of their names.

If I put my cursor on IAccpacView this is the information that shows below in the status area of the object browser:
