Obviously only my personal opinion, but I don't think this was a major factor for the decision to stop VFP. The Microsoft CRM strategy goes back at least 10 years. Since then it's growing pretty consistently into more and more areas. I'd think Microsoft is more looking at Oracle and SAP products rather than VFP solutions. SAP and Oracle have products in many of the same markets and for some time now try to get smaller customers. Microsoft as their competitor is following (or leading).

It is when a judge says it is. <g> There have been attempts to split up Microsoft in the past to separate OS from Office from development. But so far, Microsoft succeeded in preventing this from happening.
