I'm not sure if it's a matter of you not listening or just that you can't accept what they say. You don't need all the details, but once someone says they are unable to do something a certain way, try to answer what they asked, not what you think they need.

BTW, sometimes more details are necessary to fully understand the problem and propose a solution. Based on the short description of the problem I can only give as much as short or generic answer. I answered a couple of your questions in last few days, not sure if you used any of my other answers.
