I have a friend who spent years in college and then internships and volunteer work in that field. It was her life goal. She worked for CPS for 5 years and then walked out the door from frustration. She couldn't take it anymore. She is convinced the problem is with the system and the system actually can exascerbate the problem and there appears to be no way to change it.
