Yep, tried the show trails and show cursor position options. They found those items to be somewhat annoying.

You'd think that the mouse pointer visiblity problem would've been encountered before and someone would've thought of making the mouse cursor larger. You'd think that once consideration was made for "large icon" (48x48) was made, that someone would've thought of perhaps allowing mouse cursors to be made larger. BTW, anybody know if mouse cursor sizes are limited to 32x32 in Vista? (not that I would intend to move anybody to Vista for that feature alone...)

And about switching back to CRT from LCD -- nope, ain't gonna happen. After switching from CRT to LCD, they loved the fact that a lot of deskspace was now reclaimed. I don't think they'd be very receptive to losing the deskspace only to gain a larger mouse pointer (the only item that needs addressing). Aside from that, the other really big thing that would prevent me from switching to lower resolution -- readability of text -- especially Chinese characters (which of course benefits from higher resoution).
