Has anyone tried to use the new MERGE T-SQL Command of SQL Server 2008? I think it could be worth trying to make the Cursoradapter use MERGE commands triggered by Tableupdate(.T.) instead of single record INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE commands, although it would mean to implement the overhead of first sending (parts) of the Cursoradapter Cursor to SQL as #TEMP table and afterwards make the MERGE from there.

Do you have a better idea or already tried something?
Or do you see some ill logic when it comes to conflicting updates?
Is it really woth the hassle?
