He said that about a rival candidate. They all criticize their rivals, hitting points where they think they are vulnerable. That doesn't necessarily make it true. Obama is older and has more legislative experience than JFK or Teddy Roosevelt had when they were elected, and they are not exactly remembered as bad presidents.
