>The light bulb finally clicked on for me yesterday. At least I think it did. They want him to be the hatchet man. Terrific. This candidacy seems to be becoming less different all the time.
A Roman thing came to my mind this evening. As Roman as the Latin language... well, whatever the reason they call these countries Latin. There are people somewhat different from us, in that the institutions actually work (unless financial) and that there's, above all, the sanctity of the embassy, which is always left untouched by every democratically selected government, no matter how long the coup took.
Why? Well, you give your predecessor a rat tunnel, just like those that the Catholic church provided for the SS and the Ustashe after the WWII, because you never know when it may be your turn to need one. So nobody touches that.
Now the test for Obama and this Biden guy (who was among the people who met with the chief of Pakistani SIS on 9/12 and 9/13... who was the same guy who passed $100K to Atta... nice company, eh?) is whether they will go after the GOP crimes or not. If they don't (and I'm betting they won't), they may be somewhat honest at the moment, but will be briefed and bought within a week.
