Well, as I mentioned earlier, this year I hit my head twice on the ground hard. Now, granted, I'm not a typical rider and they were both unusual circumstances. However, you can never tell when someone else will do something stupid (as happened in the first incident) and I'd rather be protected, especially when the effort and cost are both minimal. I have never been in a car accident where wearing a seat belt saved me from injury but that doesn't stop me from wearing one just in case I ever am.

But as you said, we can disagree.
