I don't know how to fix this but I have had the same issue. I assume you are setting the BindingSource (business object) first after you have registered the business objects with the form.. If working with SQL server sometimes I don't get the message but otherwise I do. I just type in the name of the member directly and it works fine.

I have not seen the same error on the ControlID property however. Is this the same exact error message?
