did you also move the save button from the form to a toolbar
the same behaviour was in 3.0 -for tollbar buttons, and the problem is that toolbar buttons don't get the focus thus the value is not updated (ie not sent to the buffer) and so updating the table doesn't seem to work it was I belive discussed here before try to llok for older msgs
