>>Is this telling us that the American dream is still very much alive, despite what is being preached at the democratic convention, or is this just the rich getting richer?
>
>Who has been preaching at the Democratic convention that the American dream is dead? That would astound me if anyone was dumb enough to say that.
Ok not dead, but on its death bed. According to some politicians it's been dieing for a long long time.
Every election year this is has become a cliche. Candidates from both parties say it almost every time they speak. One partie seems to say it more often than the other.:-). But how did all the ones running, or ran, for federal office gain their wealth? Most of them probably by hard work.
The American Republic will endure, until politicians realize they can bribe the people with their own money.
