I agree that "female Hillary supporters" are WAY more liberal than McCain (or Hutchison). I'm not speaking of them directly, I'm speaking of women in general who vote majority Democratic and are a key group to keep on the D side of the ballot. The symbolic power of a woman in the #2 position can swing votes. McCain already polls better than his party with women and if he can swing just a few percentage points, barring unforeseen game-changing events, it's over.

As to female Hillary voters, judging by the reactions on the convention floor, many have not been swayed to Obama and these are die-hard convention-attending Democrats.
