I also agree with your basic idea. Lying but being the only one knowing that you're doing it. Still I think that to achieve that you need that prestance. This simplifies things a lot. I didn't listen to his speach but who cares really. We're talking about politicians. What else could we expect from them. Lies lies lies. And after that they wonder why more and more voters don't respect them anymore.

Anyways to me there's something fishy when I see a guy that earned 400000$ a year going for a job where he'll get 125000 per year. And for a reason he'll say "I'm doing it to help ______ (replace with "The planet", "My country", "My fellow citizens"). What I admire from them is their ability to say that without laughing.

>I do not disagree with a word of what you have said - but the quality i am referring to is the ability to sway a crowd with style over substance and to lie audaciously with complete sincerity. If you believe Bill Clinton believed a word of what he said last night, you prove my point.

>>>The Audacity of Hope pales in the light of true audacity. I remain in awe of Bill Clinton. As my first wife used to say, "The most important thing is sincerity ... if you can fake that, you've got it all."

>>There's something special about Bill Clinton. He as prestance. Obama also has it. Bush never had it and never will.
