>>You may be right, but what we need is the multi-column control, which I think is ctMdays. That one is not free. I got the impression if you needed multiple columns, you could not use ctDays for that.

>>Sorry - you are correct. But even if it is not free, you gotta ask yourself if creating one yourself from scratch is going to cost your client more than if you just bought a (set of) great controls that already do what you want.

>Have you used these? I'm trying to get a feel about how it will interface with our data. Since they are OLE, you don't have the same things available as props as native controls. I didn't see anything regarding how to call an entry form, etc from the appointment you've created, etc.

Jay - I agree w/ Marcia that the DBI stuff works well w/ VFP. As for calling data entry forms, the controls support a "addtimebar" type method if the user elects to "draw" a new item with the mouse (for the gantt control anyway). Of course, there are also barclick / doubleclick methods which you can use to obtain that item's PK value (that you keep track off as you populate the calendar's appts) to look up data and then display a data entry screen.

Another company w/ similar controls is http://www.exontrol.com. Here's a gallery link that will give u an idea of what you can do w/ the controls:

There are some issues with modal forms calling modal forms that have these activex controls on them, and if i could remember what the issues are i would spell them out.
