No, those aren't *really* women and minorities because they are Republicans and every "thinking" "progressive" person knows you can't be both. So Obama is blacker than Clarence Thomas or Conde and Hillary is a womyn by Sarah isn't.

>I will grant that Clinton made history and the Democrats as well with the number of minority delegates, but it was Bush Jr who put women and minorities in the most visible and powerful positions. Wasn't it Bush Senior who put Clarence Thomas in the Supreme Court as well? I think the Dems can claim victory on numbers but the Repubs can certainly claim victory (so far) on power.

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.
-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin
