>I have an application that runs on a WinNT Sever and a shortcut is used by the workstations to access this executable. If I have an Active X object in this executable how can I tell it were to find the .ocx file without installing them on the workstation? I tried putting them in the same directory were the .exe file is but that did not seem to work.

You must register the OCX on each station that references the control(s) supported by the OCX within the app.
You can register an OCX using REGSRV32 or the Win32API regardless of its location, as long as you make certain to reference it by either UNC or a permanently mapped drive letter if not local - then use the class name rather than a path in your CREATOBJ() call.
