This weekend, we are running a major script on a server to import some VFP data into SQL Server. This has been tested since several months and everything worked well. The procedure takes about 8 hours and creates a database with all the VFP imported data. This morning, I received an email, on a pre production run and it has been reported that the log shipping has been broken. To me, this seems like a coincidence as the database reported is not even something we work on. Basically, the person said that the specified database has been put in simple mode. That seems to force the other team to put their database in full mode, take a backup and restore it to its target. So, I really cannot see why our procedure on a new database could have affected another database at such a level.
