Not openly... but hey, even our daughter in Seattle thought he was a Muslim. And she says that McCain is a no-show in the media there. I can imagine how it sounds south of the belt, then. Or, rather, how it operates without a sound :).

Yep, get real, there will be no overt evidence of a smear campaign. These guys are losing and they know it, they don't dare smear openly. They'll start rumor campaigns, or rumors about rumor campaigns only to debunk them or... it's a ghost fight.

We've actually seen this already in the previous months. No trace left. Nobody seriously ever said - at least nobody from the TLA party, no official... but there's the Murdoch-run media. But since they aren't elected and aren't politicians, they can't be responsible for anything. Well, they will be shunned by the market and will lose the audience and will vanish. With gold parachutes for mission accomplished and when it's too late to undo the damage anyway.

Like I said, I don't have a horse in this race. One is empty and promising nothing much, the other is just the same and promising same as before but more or worse... but at least there's been some drama so far.
