>>>>We agree. I just read that 12% of the American public still thinks Obama is Muslim. No wonder so much outrageousness is flying around. Your party (partial tip of the hat) is the one that plays to win, no holds barred.
>>>
>>>It was twisted from Obama admitting he studied the quran while in school:
>>>
>>>From his book, Dreams from My Father:

>>>In Indonesia, I had spent two years at a Muslim school, two years at a Catholic school. In the Muslim school, the teacher wrote to tell my mother that I made faces during Koranic studies. My mother wasn't overly concerned. 'Be respectful,' she'd said. In the Catholic school, when it came time to pray, I would pretend to close my eyes, then peek around the room.

>>>
>>>If anyone who ever read the quran is considered a muslim, I'd have a problem with that for I too have read the quran.

>>It was a public school. He went there because he moved there with his parents.

>>And BTW, no one has to "admit" they read the quran (however spelled). Not all Muslims are terrorists and it is fear mongering of the worst sort to try to smear someone by calling them a Muslim. It's working, though, isn't it? I am so disgusted with the disinformation campaign.

>I don't believe I ever implied all muslims were terrorists. I don't believe I ever tried to smear him by calling him a muslim either. You give credence to the smear campaign (what little there is of one). I've seen just as much trash spoken about McCain here on the UT. Really, the whole thing stinks. Where is the discussion on the issues instead of the name calling and insinuations without instantiation on both sides? Where are the facts. If you are going to defend someone's character, especially one whom you do not know personally, you might begin by reading up on his issues and posting those you think will really be good for this country HERE.

You probably read the UT posts more closely than I do. I don't remember seeing any smears of McCain, just criticisms of his policies and actions. Also, you took my disgust with the disinformation campaign too personally. I didn't think I was accusing you of doing that.
