>ELP? Now there is a band I have not listened to in a long time. I listened to "Brain Salad Surgery" a lot in high school. Now I mainly remember them for epitomizing what punk was reacting against.
Um... probably not ELP as such, but I see how the endless drum solos or "once progressive now sweet" music like Chicago and specially the numerous epygons (funny, Wikipedia lists only one reference... should mean the imitators, but not exactly, more like "guys trying to repeat it") of the great bands of the seventies. All that Bob Dylan blues.
I have a playlist called "deterdžent" (you have one try to guess what that means, and how it translates into "washing the ears"). Almost half of it is Keith Emerson on solo piano, the other almost half are slow things by Curved Air, and the rest is Džoni Štulić -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Branimir_%C5%A0tuli%C4%87 and the very special rendition of Hey Joe by Marmalade.
>Yes, I did get a little serious responding to the stereo Johns, as you aptly call them. I used to think voters were smart enough to see through nonsense. I no longer think that.
Maybe they won't vote?
