The candidate VP's support for "abstinence only" so-called "programs" does come from the article which started the thread. Also... her decision to have that child is quite compatible with the rest of the story that the celibacy crowd advocates, like no contraception and birth at any price. Even if their reasons were anything else, simple timing (how many days since the start of "McCain is out" thread?) shows where is this choice of running mate aimed to.
