>>Emily and I were up there this afternoon, in Burlington. I woman ran an ad in the local free paper for a puggle she wanted to sell. Emily was on a big puggle kick a year or two ago and even has a picture of one in her room. 2 year old female. We both liked her so I said yes. How much difference is there really between 2 dogs and 3? ;-) The only thing is I may need to take her to a different vet. Not really, but I asked Dr. Barcus (that's really her name) about puggles when Emily first got interested in them. She said in her opinion they combine the worst traits of both breeds -- the spaciness of a pug and the stubbornness of a beagle (LOL). We'll see....

So far, so good. The energy level sure has gone up, though. Before now it was relatively calm even with a puppy (now 15 months old) in the house, because the other dog is an 11 year old female who spends 99% of her time lying around. Now Crash and the puggle (still not renamed) are literally chasing each other around the house. It's mostly hardwood floors and they both keep wiping out on turns. It's keeping us amused.
