It is not. Now that the family themselves are the ones who paraded in the limelight, it has become public business. If you look carefully behind them, you will not find me pushing them to the cameras. I'd actually rather that politicians' families, and private lives in general, stay out of the picture. It's not their job.

But yep, nobody asked me, so they are under the spotlight. In this case, I think the campaign HQ thought it would be a good idea. I sincerely hope it will backfire and earn some privacy to future politicians' families. Or some other good may come out of this.
