They say it's not a pike or a perch... did they consider that maybe someone dropped a roll of paper towels out of a boat and it's slowly unrolling in the gentle currents? Or maybe there's some kind of filamentous algae that normally lives on the lake bottom, but can get uprooted during lake turnover?
