I scoured the CNN web site and turned on the TV broadcast (Wolf Blitzer with lots of folks in St. Paul) and didn't find a thing about Palin leaving the ticket.
I agree with Sam and Bill that if she is going to drop out (or be defenestrated) it doesn't make much sense to wait until the week after the convention. Then again, it wouldn't exactly be wonderful for the campaign for her to leave now, either. It will be interesting to see what she comes up with for a Checkers speech tomorrow night.
