My position on the matter is far from unique. I'd say that it is very common throughout europe

My experience has been that many Europeans were incensed at widely publicized attitudes from some US politicians and citizens when the invasion of Iraq occurred, but since then it has been replaced by general indifference, in some cases bordering on disdain and in others a sense of relief that European nations managed to stay out of it. But I'm sure you'd agree that you guys don't *hate* Americans or anything silly like that.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
