Matt,
It's been my experience that posting on multiple *sites* is accepted (ie, asking the same question on Foxite and UT), while posting on multiple *forums on the same site* is frowned upon (ie, asking the same question here in the UT on both the SQL Server and VFP forums).
I understand, as do most serious users, that different people monitor different sites -- and in some cases, I've actually posted on a site to catch the attention of a specific person I know (read:hope) will be looking there. In some cases, back several years ago when paid memberships were often *required* for sites like CompuServe, cross-posting between sites was not only accepted, but appreciated.
Of course, that's JMHO...I'm certain there will be others.
