The default font for composing new messages used to be a monospaced font. This did not give a good "preview" for what a general message body would look like, but was good when formatting text within PRE tags.
The default font is now a proportional font. While it looks good for general body text, it's basically impossible to adequately format code etc. within PRE tags.
It would be nice if there was an option, preferably on a message-by-message basis to "toggle" between mono and proportional fonts for message composition.
Failing that, an account option setting a global preference for mono or proportional font for message composition.
What I've had to do lately is format the text in NotePad or VFP MODI FILE, then copy/paste into the UT message - a kludgy hack, but it works.
