The same could be said for why all the coverage of the London Tube bombings (our so-called 7/7), with the relatively few people killed a few years ago, and all the messages of condolence from the UT, etc., whereas more people were dying in bombings in Baghdad practically daily, yet barely a peep out of the UT. I guess it's simply a matter of "They're not 'our' people".

I>t look to me that a hurricane have a bigger impact in the US than in any other country. Haiti have already been hit by Gustav and Hanna and it look like Ike will also make a visit there next week. There's over 160 deads already with the first 2 hurricanes and they haven't finish looking for all the victims.

>Where are the journalist and the TV coverage on Haiti? Gustav was heavily coveraged with journalists all over the place and the same coverage is being put in place for Ike. In the meantime, the victims in Haiti dies in perfect anonymity. Does a US life is worth more than a Haitian life?

>My comment goes for both US and Canadian TV stations BTW.
- Whoever said that women are the weaker sex never tried to wrest the bedclothes off one in the middle of the night
- Worry is the interest you pay, in advance, for a loan that you may never need to take out.
