I think you're right.

I remember taking off from a petrol station in France with some friends, we had a moment of mass confusion. Guy at the back saw a motorcycle cop sitting on his bike by the road. Said he was hiding his eyes.

We were on our way to the Bol D'or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bol_d%27or, happy days, drove down to the coast afterwards and camped by the sea. Seems like another life sometimes.
