Specially sports...persons who just stop. They stop practicing their sport, but keep the appetite for quite a while. A friend of mine, was once a fencing champion, once he graduated and got a regular job just couldn't keep regular training anymore. He still went regularly to teach the kids, which meant they did most of the moves, not he - and pretty soon he joined the club 100 and got a potbelly. Same for at least two or three other guys I know.
