It's a trick, not a valid test :)

I just tried myself. Tried to create a new message in Chatter and after I set forum to chatter the categories were set correctly.

I then tried to send message (no title and no body). I got a messagebox and after clicking on it the list was reverted to .NET But I caused OnChange and the categories were again reset correctly.

So, it's only a minor problem of trying to set a message without a title and then the list goes back to the list of categories for the default forum.

I guess it should be fixed anyway, but it's not a show stopper as it was originally.
