I have the impression that you forgot the question mark for the view parameter, which should look like "?vp_studentRule = ...".

Check if that is the case (first define the variable in the Command Window, as has been suggested). Then, correct the error - assuming there is such an error (the assumed missing question mark). Next time, you should have no problems validating the database.

View parameters should always have this question mark.
