At the office the stored values will be extracted and placed in a table, later to be included in a URL to get a Google map with location highlighted. Google maps of Panama don't have the name of all streets, but show enough detail to find the place.

Would a GPS logger be helpfull? I stores the location ( longitude, latitude sometimes eleveation) on a time base. It can be read into a standard format that all those GPS based stuff can read. It might not be as accurate as Mikes device (depending on antennas orientation) but you can carry it in your pocket.

I might scan you an article on how to use this stuff - in german. ::(
