I see. Not sure about the problem. Did you try to trace thisform.Requery() to see which line of code causes this effect (and the biz object Requery, of course) ?

BTW, for our search form in MereMortals framework I used CursorAdapter and I updated its SelectCMD command on the fly. It worked really nice. I'm thinking that using View with macro may be too complex and hard to maintain approach and if you haven't spent too much efforts on this yet may be it would be a good idea to try it instead.

If you want I can send you some of my classes for this.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
