Title:
Register an activeX on a mapped drive
Environment versions
Network:
Windows 2008 Server
I used to install my activeX controls in the Windows System folder.
Now I'm planning to install them in the same folder as the application.
The application is installed on a mapped drive (e.g. drive U:)
The install program registers the activeX controls OK for the PC that installed the software.
My question is what does one do for the other workstations that also want to access the software. Is it appropriate to create a program that does not install anything, but just registers the actioveX controls that are on the mapped drive?
