I think there are two different questions to be answered:
1) Does she have the qualifications to do the job? This one is unknown. The fact that not very long ago, she didn't even know what the job entailed certainly raises questions in my mind.
2) Will she be forced to make hard decisions between her job and her family? No question, as pretty much all working parents are forced to do that. The difference here is that with this job, the job always must win.
Note that I'm not saying that #2 disqualifies her. I just think that it's reasonable to be aware of that. I know that I would not have chosen a job that had to always come first when I had young children at home. She may be comfortable with that.
