The easiest way to handle barcodes would be to use the ScanWedge tool located in the Applications folder. It forwards scanned barcodes as keyboard input to the application. If that's not possible we would need to see how to access the Motorola SDK from Guineu. It might be necessary to install some libraries from the SDK on the device (http://support.symbol.com/support/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=11683&sliceId=&dialogID=71560328&stateId=1%200%2071552709).

Your third sentence left me hanging.

The company we bought it from does indicate that we can use the ScanWedge tool. That would be easiest.
