For one of our developer teams we have a small NT network: one NT server and 6 NT workstations. ( all 4 sp 3). I did the setup myself and, after checking again, I am fairly sure that all the workstations machines (all Pentium pro 200) have the same settings.

The problem is this: from some of the machines doing a select * from anytable, where anytable is a table with 100,000 records, the response time is in the order of tenths of seconds, like between 0.10 and 0.20 and from other machines the query can take as long as 4 minutes. The amount of memory, network cards, software version, both NT and VFP, is the same. in all the machines. As a matter of fact, we bought 7 machines exactly the same, did the setup and gave them to the team.

Any ideas out there?
